    Beckman’s Visualization Lab is open for office hours weekdays between 1-3 p.m. in 2203 Beckman, which is located just across the atrium bridge from the elevator.

    Manager Jay Cournoyer will be on hand to help users with the Vis Lab’s equipment and other resources for research. The Vis Lab offers data visualization software, high-performance computing, 3D art services, virtual reality content creation and high-speed photography. Have questions?     Visit with Therapy Dog FERGUS

    Beckman Institute East Atrium

    Event details

    Do you ever just need to pet a dog?  Come and meet  Fergus!

    Fergus is a 6 year old male Border Terrier.  He has been certified as a therapy dog with the Alliance for Therapy Dogs since 2023. He has enjoyed being a reading assistance dog at the Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center many times, and has brought his friendly spirit to the Champaign Public Library, the Urbana Free Library, the Autumn Fields Assisted Living facility, Carle Foundation Hospital, and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana-Champaign. He is looking forward eagerly to more visits at the Beckman Institute.

    In addition to therapy dog activities, Fergus trains and trials in the sport of canine scent work.
